The following tips can help you prepare your car for shipment:
Remove all loose items from outside the car
Remove phone, radio and CB antennas that do not retract. Also remove any exterior items that are not bolted to the vehicle. This will prevent these items from getting broken or lost when the car is shipped.

Remove all items from inside the car
Auto shippers are not licensed to carry household goods. Remove these items to save yourself the hassle of removing them when the car is checked in with the auto shipper.

Only fill your car's tank with a quarter tank or less
Auto shippers generally expect the the car to have less than a quarter tank of fuel.
